Job Overview:
This position will collaborate with the sales, and operations business teams along with the financial leadership teams in support of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) for the North Central region – part of North Business Unit. This position analyzes results and plays an integral role in the forecasting and budgeting processes as well as managing revenues and spend. This role requires a detailed understanding of financial reporting and a keen interest in learning the DSD route-to-market and all the key business processes supporting this segment.
The successful candidate will bring a combination of analytical and critical skills to drive business results while maintaining a system of analysis throughout.
Position Responsibilities:
General Ledger Month End Close: Work closely with the Region Finance team, Corporate Accounting, RGM, Supply Chain Finance, Tax, A/R, A/P Payroll, Risk and other departments to ensure the general ledger, P&L, and balance sheet are fairly stated.-
Month End Analysis and Financial Reporting: Lead timely and accurate financial reporting for the North Central Region to provide detailed analysis, business insights, commentary and presentation material for Executive Leadership Team meetings and monthly reviews (business, operations, financial). Prepare monthly M&A territory financials and other proforma financial statements as the business requires.

Planning & Forecasting: Responsible for building key components and coordination of the Annual Operating Plan, quarterly forecasts, and weekly forecasts. Load, as needed, key inputs into our financial systems including Planning Analytics and Workforce Planning.

KPI Reporting: Continuously improve metric and operational reporting to foster the development of Lean Daily Management principles and practices within our production and distribution centers. Ensure all metric and operational reporting is value added and links back to achieving our objectives and financial plan.

Business Partnership: Provide direct financial support to the North Central Region Area Directors, Market Development Managers, Revenue Growth Management (RGM) and Regional Account Directors to maximize profitability through combination of business opportunities, pricing strategies and cost management. Routinely visit stores to better understand voice of customer (account management, merchandising, etc). Conduct process observations (i.e. as part of a Lean Kaizen/CAP event, Compliance Review, etc.) at distribution centers to improve financial support to operational customers, provide insights to eliminate waste and identify business opportunities, and achieve strategic and financial goals.
- Personnel Development & Leadership: Manage three direct reports. Set personnel objectives, continuously provide feedback to improve performance, and develop team members in their careers. Forge relationships with various departments, peers, and customers including but not limited to Corporate FP&A, Supply Chain Finance, HR, Supply Chain Operations, etc.

Additional Financial Support: Provide technical and analytical guidance in identifying and solving problems with the functional areas of the department and region. Build financial modeling and economic analysis, merchandiser territory right sizing, financial evaluations for territory re-routing, capital tracking and analysis, sales incentive payout evaluations, and union contract support for terms and conditions. Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field is required.

5-7+ years of related experience is strongly preferred.

Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
-
Ability to build detailed financial models in Excel is required.
- Experience with various reporting tools including SAP, Salient Margin Minder, IBM TM1 Cognos, SAP Business Warehouse, Anaplan, IRI Syndicated CPG Data reporting, and other Planning Analytics / TM1 tools is a plus.
