Job Summary
Serves as point of contact, supporting all payroll functions and providing resolutions to all inquiries and/or discrepancies. Focus on data entry into payroll tool to ensure accurate payment of union specific items. Position will also include reconciliation of paid time off. Plays a crucial role in ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time while complying with all relevant laws and regulations. Oversee all, but not limited to, time keeping, data entry, reporting, record keeping, audits, process improvement, training and compliance, and collaboration.
MAJOR/MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll processing system (MyStaff) managing: access enabling/disabling, team assignment updates, timeclock access, balance reporting, timesheet verification, edits and audits, unauthorized timesheets, off cycles, ticket submitting for discrepancies, ESS mobility,
Payroll Communications and updates
Discrepancy Ticket management
Reporting - AWR, Group Summary Report, Labor
New Hire Managing
Tablet managing/ Requesting
Auditing: LOA, Holiday Pay and eligibility
Financial Impacts
HR support - Final Pays, LOA support, Promotions
Monthly data and performance
Ongoing training (payroll system Training)
Partnering with Compass strategic team with user feedback
Other ad hoc duties as assigned
Union Environment
Union Accounting support- Dues Backup processing, BUL
Union Support - Weekly meetings
Training Pay/Bartending/Forklift and tracking
Dues processing

Minimum Qualifications
2 year college degree in Business/Accounting and/or 3 years of experience
Working in Payroll
Strong partnership skills
Able to dynamically and creatively problem solve
Adept at managing multiple internal requests and deadlines
Able to shift priorities for self and team on short notice
Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Outlook
Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
Bilingual a plus
