Site Civil Designer
Location: Tulsa
Reports to: Director of Civil Engineering
Education: An engineering degree is not required, but a degree or certification in civil engineering, drafting, or related field is advantageous
Schedule: Monday - Friday, with Friday afternoons off, giving you extra time for weekend activities and family/friends.
Salary Range: Will depend on years of experience and level of experience in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Entry Level: $55K-$64K
Mid-Level: $65K-$75K
Senior: $75K-90K
SKILLS
·Minimum of 5 years of experience as a civil designer, with a strong focus on civil site development.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD & Civil3D software, with a demonstrated ability to create complex site designs and construction documents.
· Strong understanding of site development principles, grading, drainage, paving, site constructability, and utility design.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Knowledge of local building codes, zoning regulations, DOT, MUTCD, ADAVABA compliance, and permitting processes is a plus.
The work is varied across local, regional, and national (we are licensed to do work in the lower 48 states). The work is also diverse in nature serving Federal Government, Local Municipal, Retail, Commercial, Healthcare, and Industrial clients. This position will provide an individual the opportunity to lead large multi-million dollar, multi-discipline projects as the Civil Discipline Lead or allow the individual to provide oversite of numerous smaller projects while providing direction and mentoring of civil designers and technicians.
ACTIVITIES
· Utilize AutoCAD & Civil3D software to create and modify site plans, grading and drainage layouts, utility layouts, and construction documents.
· Work with Civil Engineer to conduct site analysis, and integrate topographical surveys and geotechnical data, to inform design decisions.
· Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
· Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other team members to develop project specifications and budgets.
· Communicate with clients to understand their needs, present design options, and address any concerns.
· Perform quality checks and reviews of own work to ensure accuracy and completeness. Create and maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, calculations, and reports.
· Provide support during the construction phase, including responding to RFIs, and reviewing shop drawings.
· Stay updated on library trends and advancements in AutoCAD & Civil3D software and site civil design practices.
