Innovative, dynamic engineering firm, looking for driven, career-minded individual to fill Marketing Coordinator position.
Role:
The Proposal Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the development, coordination, and delivery of high-quality proposals within the Architect and Engineer sector. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this position involves collaborating with internal teams to create compelling proposals, maintaining brand standards, and providing administrative assistance to marketing and business development activities. The role offers flexibility to work from either or both our South Plainfield, NJ and/or Newfoundland, NJ office locations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with proposal manager, client, and project team to develop proposals for Architect and Engineer sector projects.
- Identify relevant Request for Proposals (RFPs) via public sites and company software and assist with responding to teaming requests for bid opportunities from prime consultants.
- Prepare comprehensive company qualifications, including SF330s, resumes, and project reference sheets.
- Ensure brand integrity and compliance in all proposal materials.
- Contribute to website content updates and quarterly newsletters specific to Architect and Engineer sector projects.
- Post approved updates on social media platforms targeting relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Provide administrative support for corporate business development activities and proposal development processes.
- Assist in coordinating presentations and networking events within the sector.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 2-10 years of experience in marketing/proposals within the Architect and Engineer sector preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of graphic design software, such as Photoshop and/or InDesign.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proactive and adept at multitasking in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a company background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or relevant field.
- Has a hands-on, working knowledge of the profession, architecture, multi-disciplined engineering, design-build, construction services, transportation, geospatial information services, and other services prevalent in the profession. Understands technical terminology.
- Strong proposal management/project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must have a passion for persuasive professional writing and the integration of intelligent graphics to tell a story and win projects.
- Is capable of reading a scope of services and then distilling the information to generate project sheets and write technical narratives for job descriptions.
- Has “fire in the belly” and a “whatever-it-takes” attitude to stay focused, keep the capture team on strategy, and drive to win. Pushes technical staff to excellence in the chase. Understands the time sacrifices and personal commitment that are necessary for the job. Is cool under the pressure of tight deadlines.
