The Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Food Service Director will:
Symphony Care Network is looking for high level culinary talent to bring the dining experience to new levels for our residents/guests. One of the most important parts of their day is mealtime. It is a time to visit with others and enjoy a nutritious and flavorful meal. Our culinary staff is the key to making all that possible by doing the following:
- Assists in development of policies and procedures, and menus, in charge of development of individualized job descriptions, cleaning schedules, and other dietary management tools.
- Assures that proper storage is available, and that handling of food and supplies complies with current guidelines.
- Processes new diet orders and diet changes when received from Nursing Service and keeps diet tray cards updated.
- Visits residents to do in-depth initial nutritional assessment and screening, explain diet, record food preferences, and promote a quality of food service. Visits at least once per quarter.
- Evaluates work performance and gives periodic evaluations to dietary employees.
- Enforces established rules and regulations of the Facility and Dietary Department.
Requirements:
The Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Food Service Director must have the following: ·
- Availability to work weekends and some holidays.
- Ability to effectively communicate with families, guests, and co-workers.
- Promote a positive environment and teamwork approach.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks of others.
- Meet the physical and sensory job requirements.
- Hold your Food Handlers certificate and Certified Dietary Manager Certificate
The Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Food Service Director Role Requirements:
- Reliable and Prompt
- Weekend Availability
- Provide a physical/essential functions test or fit for duty physical,
- Provide prior employer references.
- Submit to a criminal/fingerprint background check that provides eligibility per LARA.
