PART-TIME JANITOR WORKER
(Reports to Lead Facilities Maintenance Worker)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The janitor person is responsible for assisting the Lead Facilities Maintenance worker in maintaining the physical integrity of the facility. Under the supervision of the Lead Facilities Maintenance Worker the janitor is responsible for:
- Cleanliness of the exterior includes but is not limited to, picking up the garbage off the ground.
- General upkeep of the exterior grounds includes but is not limited to, lawn mowing, leaf raking, & snow removal.
- Cleanliness of the interior includes but is not limited to, sweeping and mopping floors as needed, collecting and taking out the garbage.
- Preparation of the apartments for new tenants. This includes but is not limited to, removal of old supplies and distribution of new supplies and lodging kits.
- Completion of general work orders includes but is not limited to, changing light bulbs, clearing clogged plumbing, fixing windows, and blinds.
- Movement of tenant’s belongings to their new residence.
- Movement of furniture to and from apartments and buildings as needed.
- Any general labor, janitorial tasks as assigned.
- Keep clean and drive company van for pickups, deliveries, and transports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of experience doing janitorial and/or general maintenance.
- Must have a valid NYS driver’s license and acceptable DMV record.
- Ability to support the Project Life Mission.
- Must work well with others.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be on feet for long periods of time.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
