This position will support Navarro-ATL. Navarro-ATL is located in Richland, WA, and operates, manages, and maintains the 222-S Laboratory Complex for the Department of Energy. The Navarro-ATL members are Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. (Oak Ridge, TN), and Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International (Gaithersburg, MD).
Plan, schedule, and participate in Quality Assurance Program audits, surveillances, and assessments in support of corrective action programs. Conduct inspections and investigations to identify deficiencies. Develop and/or revise quality plans, procedures, and audit checklists. Assist personnel with the interpretation/implementation of related requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Under limited supervision, responsible for providing quality assurance/control engineering services in support of 222-S Laboratory activities.
- Participates in project-wide system audits and surveillance, including supplier or subcontractor audits or surveillance to approved audit checklists and procedures.
- Demonstrates understanding of the application of Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) and Technical Safety Requirements (TSR) and can review and approve safety basis documents.
- Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Interprets quality trends. May lead workers engaged in measuring, testing, and tabulating data concerning quality and reliability.
- May compile and write training material and conduct training sessions on quality activities.
- Reviews drawings, process procedures, procurement documents, and quality reports. Identifies and reports quality problems or trends.
- May specialize in a particular area of quality engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, supplier evaluation, inventory control, reliability, research and development, software quality, laboratory quality, or administrative application.
- Performs quality assurance inspections. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Chemistry, Science, or a related field and 2-5 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills needed to facilitate project milestones. Must be able to communicate with peers and management clearly and concisely.
- Qualified QA Engineer
- Certified Level II Inspector
- Certified NQA-1 Lead Assessor/Auditor
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.

Pay: $86,138.00 - $119,250.00 per year
