ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure the most economical and efficient use of equipment and personnel to accomplish assigned work each day

Ensure all safety, security, and sanitation codes, laws, and policies are adhered to by all warehouse personnel on a daily basis. Report any violations or problems to the appropriate person

Maintain good working relationships with other company personnel and customers, being an ambassador of good will with a positive attitude

Work closely with buyers and team members to maintain accurate inventory levels. Ensure warehouse space allocation, slotting of merchandise, and general inventory practices are planned for and followed

Control production flow, standards, and accuracy of shipments
- Read delivery tickets to determine ship to location, location of product, type, and quantity of product required, availability of stock, and order priority. Pick product and prepare it for same day shipping both locally, nationally, and/or internationally

Recommend and implement approved improvements to promote efficiency, faster service, and lower costs. Authorize and approve overtime while working to control costs

Review and evaluate work of subordinates in preparation and completion of annual performance reviews

Familiarize team members with Company rules, policies, and expectations while ensuring adherence to same by all employees

Maintain formal and informal channels of communications encourage the expression of new ideas, suggestions, while handling complaints and problems

Determine the need for, and make recommendations as needed concerning formal training activities and on-the- job training to enhance overall results

Within scope of your position, responsible for personnel actions to include: hiring, firing, and layoffs

Perform other duties assigned as needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Possess strong general / practical knowledge of all warehouse operations, with work experience and ability to perform each essential duty and task satisfactorily.
- Ability to read and interpret documents across a broad spectrum that can be applied and managed within your duties.
- Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, possess strong math skills, and have excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to work with a minimum level of supervision while supervising and leading the work of others in a harmonious and successful manner.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma and two to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
