Summary of Responsibilities
A hospice Registered Nurse provides care for patients with life-limiting illnesses in the patient’s home, assisted living communities, nursing homes, hospitals, or anywhere the patient may call home. The Registered Nurse is responsible for using their professional skills to plan, coordinate, provide, and document care for terminally ill patients to ensure all physicians’ orders and the patient’s specific needs and end of life requests are fulfilled. The Registered Nurse may develop and implement a hospice plan that meets each to maintain dignity of the patient and their family during difficult and emotional times. Our mission is to improve the quality of life through compassionate care. Our vision is to allow those that have hospice to remain independent as long as possible.
Qualifications
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Idaho or other compact state.
- One (1) years of registered nursing experience in a community/home health or medical/surgical experience is preferred.
- Obtain and maintain current BLS CPR.
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order to get to and from patients home in all weather conditions to ensure reliability for patient care.
