ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and its communities.
1. Assist in planning resident’s care by following MD Orders.
2. Implement resident care based on MD Orders.
3. Evaluate care and communicate with MD for updates of orders.
4. Responsible for administering medication, giving shots, updating patient records, providing emotional support, patient education, basic diagnostics, and other
patient procedures for residents in the RAL department.
5. Receives and transcribes orders from attending physicians.
6. Monitor blood glucose, temperature and blood pressure when necessary.
7. Responsible for responding to all emergencies in the RAL area.
8. Schedule doctor’s appointment and coordinates transportation for the residents. Includes scheduling lab and transcribing the lab results.
9. Supervise CNAs and LPNs – ensure they are providing resident care based on MD Orders.ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Must be currently licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse.
- Must be CPR Certified
Experience and Basic Knowledge:
One to three years of long term care desirable. Med/Surg, Home Health experience helpful. Also, working with the elderly and disabled adults.
