Licensed Therapist
Job Summary
Nixon Psychological Institute is seeking Licensed Therapists for our in-office practice in Chino, CA. The practice is seeking experienced clinicians to provide psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults. The ideal candidate will have experience with individual psychotherapy and couples counseling in a private practice setting. The position will be a hybrid position to accommodate clients who want to be seen by telehealth or in-person.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct individual, family, group, and couples therapy sessions (based on competency and training).
- Conduct intake sessions, case plans, and treatment planning for clients.
- Manage the client’s treatment plan.
- Complete documentation in accordance with state licensing regulations regarding each client seen by the therapist.
- Attend weekly staff meetings to maintain professional development and professional growth opportunities.
- Complete required training on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain an active license in good standing.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times when interacting with clients, colleagues, and other staff members.
Education: Master's in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Doctorate in Psychology from an independent school or university required.
Additional education: One or more years of experience as a licensed psychotherapist preferred; Experience working with children and adolescents preferred; Experience working with families preferred; Experience supervising mental health providers preferred; Knowledge of child welfare laws preferred but not required; Knowledge of community resources preferred but not required.
Experience: Experience with children, adolescents, adults, families, or couples is preferred but not required
Licensure: Active licensure with the Board of Behavioral Sciences or the California Board of Psychology, as appropriate.

Pay: Up to $109.00 per hour
