The Arc of Monmouth serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in group homes, day programs, and supported employment. We are seeking qualified candidates for our Shipping and Receiving Coordinator position.
Qualifications and Skills
N.J. Driver’s License (Commercial Driver’s License preferred), and a driving record that is acceptable to The Arc and its insurer.
A.A. Degree or 60 credits towards undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in production, warehousing and/or forklift operations.
Experience with persons with developmental disabilities is preferred.
Description of Duties
1. Assist with truck delivery scheduling of incoming material.
2. Prepare paperwork, organize product, and assist in scheduling outgoing shipments, under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor.
3. Deliver, when needed, products to subcontractors, State Set-Aside accounts, and other customers.
4. Assist with the verification of documentation and product counts of incoming and outgoing packing slips and invoices and provide copies to designated staff.
5. Maintain an organized, orderly warehouse, storing raw materials and finished products.
6. Maintain an orderly and safe work environment in accordance with standards that govern the program.
7. Assist the Warehouse Supervisor with promoting a smooth flow of work, machine operations, completing record keeping, and taking a physical inventory count.
8. Assist with providing inventory counts on in-house products as well as counts of customer product, as requested.
9. Maintain regular communication with the supervisor regarding warehousing, shipping, and receiving, customer complaints, equipment problems and other pertinent information.
10. Attend staff meetings and training courses as required.
11. Assist in providing skill training in warehousing and shipping and receiving as assigned.
12. Recognize and uphold quality control standards and report related concerns to supervisor.
13. Maintain equipment in good repair and recognize, repair, or assist in scheduling repairs for machine malfunctions, when appropriate.
14. To organize products, and complete necessary paperwork and computer entries to ship products out by UPS or other carriers.
15. Complete other related duties as assigned or required.
