Summary
The Mechanical Engineer position requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering with expertise in areas such as mechanical design, CAD, and schematics. Responsibilities
- Utilize mechanical knowledge and engineering skills to contribute to the design and development of mechanical systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues in mechanical designs.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure precision and accuracy in designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical components using AutoCAD and other design tools.
- Utilize LabView for system design and drafting for technical documentation.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Experience with FEA software (ANSYS, Abaqus, etc.)
- Ability to fabricate prototypes using various tools and equipment
- Proficient in drafting standards and creating engineering drawings
- Familiarity with CNC machining processes
- Experience with LabView for data acquisition and control systems is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
