Medical Receptionist
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries
- Assist with patient registration and check-out process
- Collect co-pays, co-insurances and process payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Follow office procedures and protocols for maintaining confidentiality
Experience:
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role preferred
- Familiarity with family practice setting is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems, eCW preferred
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
