Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Clerk Reports To: Inspection Lead
Department: 64040 Logistics FLSA Status: Full Time / Hourly
Job Code: Salary Grade: $19.50
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for all aspects shipping and receiving materials, supplies and equipment. Will learn how to operate saw to cut blanks. Responsible to deliver components to the floor and remove chip hoppers and other metal collecting containers. Will learn how to assemble simple parts.
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Preparation of all domestic and international shipments.
- Able to perform the daily operations of oiling, packing and shipping completed components on time and undamaged
- Build crates by running table saws and nail guns
- Verify documents to ensure correctness of shipments.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Receive incoming materials, verify packing lists, count parts, etc. to ensure correct parts are received.
- Working with Picklists, removes inventoried items for inspection, assembly, etc.
- Working with Picklists for individual work orders, removes raw material for production. This includes the operation of saws to cut material to proper length.
- Initiates purchase requisitions for shipping supplies.
- Properly label materials for inventory purposes and place in proper location.
- Works from blueprints, sketches, written or verbal instructions, and parts manuals
- Move materials around on the floor as needed
- Learn to do assembly of components
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess strong mechanical aptitude
- Shipping / Receiving experience preferred
- Forklift experience
- Must have experience basic construction tools
- Knowledge of measuring equipment (tape measure, calipers, Micrometers)
- Good communication (verbal and written) skills and excellent listening ability required
- Express a positive attitude, problem solver and strong team collaboration.
- US Citizenship or lawful permanent resident of the US is required.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand for extend periods of time
- Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the office, shop, warehouse, or manufacturing plant
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working
- with use of mechanical aids manipulate parts or machines exceeding 20,000 pounds.
- Must be able to simultaneously manage several objectives, changing priorities and reassign priorities to complete assignments.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work environment is typically considered within a MIBA AG location during normal or extended business hours to include offices, manufacturing plants and repair facilities. Work environment may also include customer sites including oil well sites, and meeting venues.
- Approved PPE is required when on the factory floor
