Do you have a passion for supporting students and a strong foundation in school psychology?
We are seeking a qualified School Psychologist (LSSP) to join our team in Sugar Land, TX for the upcoming school year. This is a full-time preferred, hybrid position with a focus on reevaluations (75%) and some additional responsibilities in counseling/consultation and Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs).
This unique position offers a blend of in-person and remote work:
- Be present in the district for direct student work (approximately 25% of the time).
- Work remotely for report writing, collaboration, and other tasks (approximately 75% of the time).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct reevaluations to determine ongoing special education needs for students.
- Provide counseling and consultation services to students, teachers, and parents.
- Participate in Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs).
- Collaborate with a team of educators and related service providers to ensure student success.
- Develop and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas License as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP).
- Trainee Status Letter issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists will be considered for highly qualified candidates.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a school setting (preferred).
- Strong understanding of child development, learning disabilities, and mental health issues affecting students.
- Expertise in conducting psychological assessments and interpreting data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
- Proficient in report writing and data analysis.
