Position Summary:
Completes machine adjustments, modifications and repairs, based on plant needs. Job duties may vary, based on level of proficiency. Different levels are attained by passing test.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
1) Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures. Must take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazards.
2) Keep work area clean and organized, per standards.
3) Follow all applicable food service policies and procedures.
4) Follow all PPE policies, wearing steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets/beard nets, etc. as required.
5) Make plate cylinders, ensuring they fit appropriately down to each detail.
6) Make gears, figuring and ensuring correct dimensions, using gear shaper.
7) Repair machine breakdowns as needed.
8) Build up, grind and reweld shafts.
9) Weld various items made of steel, cast iron, aluminum, stainless steel; braze or weld brass.
10) Handle sheet metal work, such as making guards and ink pans.
11) Work on special projects as assigned.
12) Respond to radio calls as needed.
13) Handle dismantling and rebuilding work.
14) Grind rubber rolls
15) Make parts needed, ensuring that specifications are correct.
16) Cut shafts.
17) Draw blueprints and sketches of work.
18) Keep equipment clean.
19) Meet/achieve job goals set forth by management.
20) Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.17 - $29.41 per hour
