WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The Facilities Management Specialist reports directly to the Technical Program/Project Manager III. This position is responsible for assisting the customer service and project goals of the Facilities Management Team. This role will not be responsible for creating systems but will be responsible for maintaining those systems in coordination with Department personnel. This role will be given the responsibility for small projects that typically serve one department or a small group. This role will also be responsible for the movement of the staff between and in our facilities as well as the procurement of furniture for staff needs. This role will also be tasked with supporting space planning and other assigned tasks.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior design with ability to become registered in its degreed field.
- One (1) year of progressive experience working in a Facilities, Architectural, or Interior Design environment.
- Experience working with private owner of Facilities preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient with Revit.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, and Word.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet established deadlines.
- Ability to adjust quickly and effectively to ever changing conditions.
- Detail oriented with excellent customer service and communication skills that transfers to positive working relationships with clients, coworkers, tenants, contractors, and vendors.
- Ability to work consistently, independently and effectively with a high level of professionalism with coworkers, professional services consultants, contractors, service providers, vendors, governmental agencies, and the public.
- Inspect and monitor adherence to quality assurance and quality control plans.
- Interface with project team for relevant discussions and solutions.
- Complete program and planning requirements and provide technical and innovative insight to help ensure each project is completed with the proper balance of quality, cost, and schedule.
- Self-motivated with ability to be a positive and constructive contributor in a team-based environment.
- Focused on opportunities to continuously improve skills and processes.
- Motivated to undertake duties and tasks as assigned.
- Knowledge of project management methods and practices.
- Proven ability to gain proficient understanding of Authority’s policies, procedures, and practices related to budget and contracts management.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. This position works with multiple project timelines and is responsible for managing employees performing work of a complex nature.
Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach vertically for overhead use as well as horizontally. Must be able to use a telephone or headset equipment.
Incumbent must be able to lift and move material weighing up to 20 pounds, perform work at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours a day, and function in an environment with constant interruptions.

Mobility Status:
As a Mobile position, the incumbent is expected to work in the office as needed. There will be access to touchdown/collaboration spaces when on site. Must be in-office for socialization, strategic collaboration, supervision, oversight, and accountability as needed.

This position is a “Security Sensitive” position. CapMetro will conduct criminal background checks on incumbents in this position. A position is “Security Sensitive” if its incumbent handles currency, has access to sensitive computerized databases, has access to master keys, or works in an area of CapMetro that has been designated as a security-sensitive area.
