After you have been in the role of Refining and Facilities Technician for 1 year you can apply for the Waste Management Facility Operator License Class I Class IV. Company paid training and certification!
Day shift Monday - Friday
Responsibilities include:
- Pour molten metals into billet molds
- Segregate trash, floor sweeps, machine turnings, etc. and incinerate material after segregation
- Keep incinerator room clean and organized
- Run refining processing and analysis equipment as needed
- Log and maintain accurate records of all weights and melts
- Assist Maintenance Technicians as needed: change light bulbs, minor repairs, facility cleanup
- Perform Environmental Health & Safety inspections
- Work closely with all departments to ensure compliance with federal and local Hazardous Waste regulations
- Participate as member of the hazardous material spill response/cleanup unit to remove spills from the work areas
Requirements include:
- Good computer skills and able to use Excel
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
- Ability to read and understand instructions and effectively communicate information to other employees
- Good problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
- Excellent and punctual attendance
- High School Diploma or GED
Physical and work condition demands of the position:
- Able to walk and stand the throughout the shift
- Able to reach and lift material
- Able to push and pull carts full of material
- Able to frequently lift up to 50+ pounds, and transport full 55-gallon drums via manually operated drum dolly equipment
- Able to wear required PPE at all times with no restrictions
