Radiology Technologist, must possess a valid and current license. The work of this position is performed in an interventional pain management physician office. Must have experience with C-Arm Fluoroscopic X-ray and Interventional Pain Management.
Position's Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensures operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questions.
- Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs, walking, bending, reading and the ability to perform these functions while wearing a lead apron. Long periods of time sitting, standing and viewing of video monitors. Ability to transport patients in wheelchairs and on stretchers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree in Radiology Technology from an AMA accredited program. Minimum 2 years experience in radiology and a minimum of 1 year experience in an interventional radiology or interventional pain management setting.
