Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced comic book panel artist to collaborate on the "Children of the Void" series. The artist will work closely with the creator, writer, and artist to translate detailed concept art and story outlines into engaging and visually compelling comic book panels. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of visual storytelling, and the ability to capture the unique aesthetic and tone of the series.
Responsibilities
- Create comic book panels based on detailed concept art and story outlines provided by the creator.
- Collaborate with the creator to ensure the visual style and tone align with the established vision of the series.
- Develop dynamic and varied panel layouts that enhance the narrative and pacing of the story.
- Ensure consistency in character design, environments, and overall art quality throughout the series.
- Incorporate feedback and revisions from the creator in a timely manner.
- Meet project deadlines and maintain effective communication with the creator.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a comic book artist or illustrator, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Proficiency in digital art software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Clip Studio Paint). No AI generated art will be considered.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, panel composition, and pacing.
- Ability to capture a sci-fi/fantasy aesthetic and work with detailed concept art.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality artwork.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working on sci-fi or fantasy comic book projects.
- Familiarity with similar genres.
- Experience with creating action scenes and dynamic character poses.
- Knowledge of dystopian themes and world-building.
Compensation is distributed at the completion of the project. Compensation being $1,000 per book.
