Job Duties:
-
Assist with managing and updating a log of potential opportunities; including evaluations of projects to determine applicability to our core competencies

Efficiently and accurately perform takeoffs, calculation, and assembly of data.

Develop a cohesive estimate structure supported by achievable preliminary work plans.

Communicate with and expand subcontractor & supplier database.

Negotiates the best deal for the company, factoring in safety, cost, quality & diversity

Evaluates risks & determines risk mitigation strategies

Manage projects, clients & field supervisors

Perform preliminary scheduling activates & pre-job planning.
Job Qualifications:
-
Construction experience in the Civil Construction field including the ability to read and understand civil plans and specifications

Fluent with Microsoft Office and Excel

Experience with estimating software including HCSS Heavy Bid/ Heavy job

Experience with construction plan take off software
-
Strong written & verbal communication and people skills
-
Solid time management skills & ability to self-motive to meet goals.

Experience with DOT's and public agencies preferred
