The Laborer will be expected to weigh, grade and load and unload grain from/to trucks, rail cars and barges (where applicable). The position may also assist with the creation and removal of grain piles at or near the facility as well as providing housekeeping services at the facility. The Laborer may also be responsible for assisting coworkers with the facility and equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the loading and unloading of incoming/outgoing grain.
- The position entails operating heavy equipment (loaders/skid steer loaders/track mobiles, rail car movers, etc.) and assisting with the weighing of grain trucks and grading of the grain. The position may also require assisting with the removal and creation of piles of grain, which are temporarily stored on the ground at or near some facilities, and cleaning grain from storage bins/structures.
- Responsible for providing housekeeping services at the facility. This will include but is not limited to cleaning all areas of the structures as well as all outside areas. The position will maintain a safe environment at all times and report any unsafe practices or potential hazards to the Facility Manager at the first opportunity.
- Assist with equipment and building repairs and/or maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug and alcohol testing.

- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds several times per day.

- Must be able to work in confined / tight spaces.
- Must be able to perform strenuous physical labor at times in excess of two hours.
- Must be able to wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (i.e. hardhat, safety glasses, footwear, respirators, etc.)
- Must be able to remain free from illegal drugs.
- Must be willing to be subjected to random drug testing at any time.
