As an Executive Assistant, you will provide administrative support to Dr. Andre Machado, MD, PhD. Dr. Machado is the Chairman of the Neurological Institute, the Charles and Christine Carroll Family Endowed Chair in Functional Neurosurgery, a Professor of Neurosurgery at Cleveland Clinic’s Lerner College of Medicine, and Associate Chief of Staff at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Machado performs deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery for patients with Parkinson’s disease, tremor, dystonia and obsessive-compulsive disorder as well as surgical procedures for patients with trigeminal neuralgia, intractable pain syndromes and spasticity.

Responsibilities:

Provides administrative support for executive level management.

Receives and screens visitors while answering telephone calls then uses independent judgment to determine priority and sensitivity of inquiries and responses.

Prepares and/or supervises the preparation of correspondence, forms, reports and other written communications.

Schedules and coordinates; meetings, conferences, special events, appointments and travel arrangements.

Maintains assigned calendar(s).

Originates, prepares, processes and edits personnel, financial or operational reports and documents.

Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED. Four years of college and/or business school preferred; specialized training in desktop office software preferred.
Certifications:
- None Complexity of Work:Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Work Experience:
- Minimum five years office or clerical experience.

May require a minimum typing proficiency of 65 wpm with accuracy.

Pay Range: $27.65 - $42.17 / hour
