CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER – ROBERTSON MARKETING GROUP
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team. Reporting to the owners and partnering with other members of the Senior Executive Group, the CFO will play a critical role in developing and implementing the strategy for Robertson Marketing Group and its international subsidiaries. As a member of the Leadership Team, the CFO will be an advisor to ownership, evaluating and assisting them with strategy development, financial planning, economic modeling, and value creation.
Duties:
- Develop and implement financial strategies in line with company goals
- Manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Oversee financial reporting and analysis
- Lead the accounting team in day-to-day operations
- Conduct risk management and mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with other executives to make high-level decisions regarding the company's financial future
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a similar executive role
- In-depth knowledge of financial principles and practices
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, corporate accounting, financial analysis, IFRS, payroll, strategic planning, technical accounting, and financial management
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insights for decision-making
- Demonstrated track record of driving financial growth and profitability

Operations - Possess a strong understanding of the company's business model and industry and use this knowledge to provide an independent perspective and to constructively challenge the commercial and operations teams, ensuring that business decisions are grounded in solid financial criteria.
Finance and Controls – Maintain the books and records of the company, report timely the company’s financial position, and ensure adequate assessment and mitigation of risk as well as compliance with applicable regulatory or other legal requirements. Provide decision support to the commercial and operations teams.
Strategy:
Transform operating structure and processes, including order management, warehouse and logistics and business management. Support innovation and investments for sustainable growth.
Capitalize on issues and trends to identify opportunities in the operating model with a bias towards action and for positive change.
Strengthen the financial consciousness of the organization. Improve working capital efficiency, expense management, and grow EBITDA.
Develop a budgetary planning model to support the growth of the business. Assess organizational performance against the budget and develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to key stakeholders.
Understand key risks facing the business and help the business team assess and undertake smart risks to drive growth.
Financial and Operational Management:
The CFO will oversee the strategy and vision for this +$40 million privately owned business.
Advance the Finance function while accelerating the impact the team has on business unit performance.
Develop insightful analysis, reporting and dashboards to illuminate risks and opportunities to the business.
Optimize finance IT systems to meet the needs of the organization.
Manage cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
Oversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets to monitor progress and present financial metrics both internally and externally.
Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements.
Lead Ethics, Compliance and Controls across the business.
Serve as a strong Talent Developer by hiring, developing, retaining and promoting direct team, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and raising the performance bar.
Influence cross-functional and cross-divisional teams outside of direct span of control
