Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social work and patient care, with a focus on working with individuals with autism and other developmental challenges.
Duties:
- Assist individuals with daily activities and personal care tasks
- Implement behavior management strategies to support clients
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure their well-being
- Lift and transfer clients as needed
- Monitor vital signs and report any concerns to healthcare professionals
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare providers
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
Skills:
Required Skills:
- Experience in social work or patient care
- Proficiency in working with people with autism and developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques
- Understanding of resident rights and advocacy
- Ability to lift and assist with mobility
- Familiarity with monitoring vital signs
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Background in nursing or healthcare-related field
