The Company:
Construction Monitor is the largest collector of real-time building and solar permit data in the United States. The permit data collected by Construction Monitor is normalized and provided to clients to utilize as a lead service, market intelligence, generating predictive analytics, and more. Data is available through a SaaS platform designed for sales users, and also via API or FTP. Our dedicated staff continues to provide a valuable service collecting and compiling data from thousands of city and county building departments every week in order to deliver a quality service to our loyal customers.
The Position:
Construction Monitor is looking for a Business Development Executive to join our sales team. As a vital member of our company, you will be responsible for generating and retaining new SaaS subscription clients. This position will be required to move clients through the entire sales process including prospecting, qualifying, and closing sales. Duties will include but are not limited to outreach to new prospects, identifying client needs, follow-up, maintaining a healthy sales pipeline, and demonstrating the capabilities of Construction Monitor’s services and permit data through screen share or live demonstrations.
**This position is 100% remote with the exception of corporate travel to industry events, client meetings and company outings.
Responsibilities:
- Work prospects through the entire sales process through phone calls, emails, and demonstrations.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and record notes and follow-up tasks through HubSpot CRM.
- Meet KPIs and quotas set by management.
- Identify client needs and match CM offerings to provide solutions to clients.
- Assist, retain, and upsell current clients to maximize Customer Lifetime value and reduce subscription churn.
- Attending and working at tradeshows when required.
- Submit orders through online portal and through sales enablement.
- Provide training to current clients when required.
- Additional tasks assigned as needed by sales leadership.
Skills & Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of outbound B2B sales experience, preferably in a SAAS or Data Sales environment
- Consultative sales approach with the ability to be persistent.
- Ability to maintain a positive rapport with clients and CM staff.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Efficient organizational and time management skills.
- Strong understanding of all CM products, offerings, and company website tools.
- Ability to demonstrate solutions through screen share platforms.
- Experience with spreadsheets, word documents, and Customer Relationship Management and/or billing systems.
- Experience with HubSpot CRM and/or Infusionsoft CRM is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Compensation has a combined annual salary and on target earnings of $70K+
- Participation in the Company’s health/dental/vision/life insurance/short-term disability/long-term disability programs on the first of the month after the date of hire. Construction Monitor pays $460/monthly towards the employee's medical premiums.
