Position: Finance Manager
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in accounting, finance, or other related field, and 5 years of experience as an accountant or finance analyst. Knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel. Passing all required Illinois Healthcare Workers Background Checks.
Duties:
We are seeking a skilled Finance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee financial activities, provide strategic financial guidance, and ensure the company's financial health. The Finance Manager prepares and monitors the agency budget oversees the accounting system and assists other administrative personnel in matters relating to accounting or finance.
Skills:- Strong background in accounting and fiscal management skills- Proficient in general ledger reconciliation and detail-oriented- Experience in cost control and forecasting- Expertise in cash flow analysis- Ability to interpret financial reports effectively- Familiarity with nonprofit accounting practices
- Work closely with the CEO/COO and senior management staff to optimize financial performance
- Supervise Have Dreams accounting staff, provide training, guidance and assistance when necessary
- Assist auditors during annual independent audit and provide financial audits for TAP funding
- Prepare Have Dream`s budget along with individual program budgets
- Prepare monthly financial statements for Have Dream`s
- Audit Have Dream`s fundraising events, record donations and perform collections
- Monitor Have Dream`s cash flow situation to ensure that money is available to meet current expenses
- Develop methods of spreading administrative and other agency-wide expenses across programs along with implementing change within Have Dream`s record-keeping system
- Reconcile Have Dream`s monthly bank accounts as well as Have Dreams investment account
- Work with the Development team on providing financial information for grants and grant follow-up reports
- Follow up with Insurance claims for the HD Clinical Program
- Process monthly invoices for Programs and Trainings
- Track and monitor scholarships given during the year
- Attend Development Committee, Leadership Committee, Finance Committee and Board Meetings
