Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, design plans, and specifications to understand cabinet assembly requirements.
- Select and prepare materials, including wood panels, hardware, and other necessary components, for cabinet assembly.
- Use hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, sanders, and screwdrivers, to cut, shape, and assemble cabinet parts accurately.
- Operate woodworking machinery, such as table saws, routers, and pneumatic nail guns, to facilitate cabinet assembly.
- Measure and mark components accurately to ensure proper fit and alignment during assembly.
- Assemble cabinet parts, including panels, doors, drawers, shelves, and hardware, following established procedures and quality standards.
- Inspect finished cabinets to verify adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Make adjustments or repairs to cabinets as needed to meet quality requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage and handling of materials and tools.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure effective coordination and timely completion of projects.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a cabinet assembler or similar role in the woodworking industry. (Willing to train the person)
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, design plans, and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of cabinet assembly techniques, materials, and tools.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools, woodworking machinery, and measuring instruments.
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality craftsmanship.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with other team members.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to follow them diligently.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
