Job Description
As the Head of Finance, you will report directly to the CEO. Your responsibilities will include providing financial insights into historical and current performance, metric reporting, and building various models and analyses. You will provide data and analysis to be used in decision-making and strategic planning processes for all stakeholders across the organization.
You will, assist in the preparation of dashboards and reports that provide thoughtful analysis, identify areas of opportunity and action items, and effectively frame decisions that need to be made using data.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends and assessing the financial health of the company alongside a team
- Identify and research variances to budgeted and historical year metrics and accounts while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
- Develop the the teams work on financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting processes
- Discover and manage key data sources (systems, databases, individuals) across the organization and enterprise systems
- Identify and analyze general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization's policies and operations.
- Manage Insurance Policies and Claims
- Oversee Permits & Licenses
- Partner with operations teams to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews to support the various regions and managers
- Manage cash bank relationships
- Lead the coordination of the annual audit and preparation of the annual tax returns.
- Oversee the operations and development of the company’s finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, recruiting, training and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures
- Mediate between the organization, employees, stakeholders, shareholders and investors on financial issues for amicable resolution of differences
- Build effective relationships with internal departments and outside stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Perform ad hoc analysis and functionality as needed for strategic planning, special projects, and management reports
- Ensures confidentiality and professionalism are maintained when dealing with sensitive business and personnel information
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, CPA or MBA preferred, though not essential
- Minimum of five 5 - 7 years of progressive responsibility in a Finance leadership role
- Familiarity with multi-unit or location-driven business models
- Solid technical skills with proficiency in Excel, Business Intelligent tools and Accounting ERPs (Restaurant 365 preferred but not mandatory)
- Experience developing financial reports and metrics including budgets and KPI dashboards
- High value placed on attention-to-detail and delivering high-quality, accurate work product
- Can work toward the overall strategic goal and communicate with broader team to re-prioritize or adjust as needed based on findings to date
- Demonstrated ability to influence others through effective verbal and written communication

The brand is currently expanding its footprint across the United States.
This is an exciting role to work directly with the CEO and collaborate with senior leadership to influence financial strategy and operations. The Finance Manager will lead the financial planning and analysis functions of the company, and play a pivotal role in supporting strategic decision making across the organization by providing valuable insights around performance, projections, and modelling. The Finance Manager will have high visibility within the organization with opportunities for career growth as the company continues to build out the Finance team and expand the Pret A Manger business.

Pay: $150,000.00 per year
