We specialize in handling Bulk and Out of Gauge (OOG) cargo such as metal, lumber, etc. We operate over 60 acres of bulk storage warehouse space spanning across the ports of NY/NJ, Houston, Savannah, Baltimore and Charleston and are equipped with heavy capacity equipment specifically for bulk OOG handling
We also operate our own asset based drayage fleet with close to 400 trucks and privately owned heavy duty chassis for overweight cargo. Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager with extensive experience in the bulk logistics industry, specifically dealing with bulk product importers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving business growth, network of contacts establishing strategic partnerships, and overseeing the warehousing and yard spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Business Development Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion in the commodities and bulk warehousing segments. Identify target markets, customer segments, and growth opportunities to achieve business objectives.
- Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Identify and prospect potential clients in the commodities industry, including manufacturers, distributors, and traders of metal, aluminum, lumber, and bulk materials. Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers to understand their warehousing needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Customer Service Excellence: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and support throughout the sales process and beyond. Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and provide proactive communication to build trust and loyalty.
- Market Analysis and Insights: Stay abreast of market trends, industry dynamics, and competitive landscapes within the commodities and bulk warehousing sectors. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
- Operational Excellence: Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless execution of warehousing, meeting customer expectations for reliability, efficiency, and safety. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in business development or sales roles within the warehousing, logistics, or commodities industry.
- Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving sales targets in a competitive market environment.
- Strong understanding of commodities logistics, bulk materials handling, and warehousing operations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business priorities.
- Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office Suite, as well as CRM software (HubSpot).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
