SUMMARY of POSITION
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the driver is responsible for driving a company truck on a regularly scheduled route to deliver CSFP orders, picking up donated food products and returning the donation to the warehouse to unload and sort the load. Additionally, this position requires palletizing the product according to the orders for each location. Daily cleaning of the truck and warehouse are also required.
The following is a general list of job responsibilities that will be reviewed and/or updated at the conclusion of the probationary period and annually thereafter.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintain a valid drivers license as required
· Prepare DOT required log of driving daily
· Complete daily equipment pre-inspection
· Follow guidelines established by the Department of Transportation
· Organize and secure all loads
· Keep truck clean according to audit check list
· Deliver and unload safely and with customer satisfaction
· Relay messages sent by customers while on job
· Safely move inventory within the warehouse, maintaining temperatures as required for food handling
· Palletize the orders according to the daily orders
· Palletize orders for agencies and mobile markets
· Stage orders to be loaded onto FIND trucks according to orders for the day
· Use pallet jack to load and unload trucks
· Assist with keeping the warehouse clean according to all safety & sanitation rules including taking out trash, sweeping and cleaning racks
· Assist co-workers in other work areas as needed
· Work FIND mobile distributions as needed
· Other duties as assigned
As required to meet the needs of the company, other duties may be assigned as needed

SKILLS and ABILITIES
· Ability to adhere to FIND Food Bank’s organizational policies and work standards
- Attention to detail and the ability to read orders, write instructions and complete forms
- Communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills
- Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques and adhere to warehouse safety standards
- Ability to lift 60+ pounds
- Ability to use both a manual and electric pallet jack
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum experience required: 1+ years as a driver
· Minimum experience required: 2+ years warehouse experience
· Ability to be Forklift and/or pallet jack operation certified
· Ability to be Food Safety Certified
- Minimum education required: High School Diploma or general equivalency degree (GED)
- Must possess a valid California Driver's License with a clean record, proof of auto insurance on personal vehicle used, be insurable by FIND’s commercial auto policy provider, and have reliable transportation.
- Clean driving record and current drivers license
- Ability to work nights, weekends and split shifts as required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Warehouse environment, including work in coolers/freezers and in warehouse with extreme temperature variance; extensive computer and phone work; responsible for safe use of equipment; frequent driving, walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items weighing in excess of 60 pounds; work periodically requires extended hours.
