Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Candidates must have experience in procurement, contracts, and purchasing but also knowledge of the guidelines set forth in the Mississippi Code, the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA), and/or the Department of
Information Technology Services (ITS).
Strong problem-solving skills.
A commitment to ethical practice and personal integrity.
An eagerness to serve, be challenged, and grow professionally.
An ability to work collaboratively to find new solutions to community challenges.
Knowledge of contract management
Knowledge of procurement and purchasing laws
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-based environment
Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software
Ability to coordinate and maintain relationships with cross-functional departments to ensure efficient operations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to effectively interact with administration, faculty,
staff, and other outside contacts.
Preferred Experience:
Mississippi government procurement experience
