The Tharanco Group is seeking a Product Color Specialist Associate to join the Dunning team.

Position Overview
The Color Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our embroidery services by overseeing all aspects related to color management. This position involves selecting appropriate thread colors, conducting color testing, managing seasonal color references, and maintaining rigorous quality control. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for color, a deep understanding of color theory, and a passion for precision in embroidery work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Color Selection:
- Select appropriate thread colors for embroidery projects based on customer specifications, design requirements, and fabric characteristics.
- Utilize a keen eye for color matching and a strong understanding of color theory to achieve accurate and visually appealing results.
2. Color Testing:
- Conduct thorough color testing prior to embroidery production to ensure selected thread colors harmonize well with the chosen fabric and accurately reflect the intended design.
- Stitch samples and assess color accuracy under various lighting conditions to guarantee consistent results.
3. Seasonal Color References for Customers:
- Manage notes as a starting point for each season, tracking each color combination and style number.
- Follow inventory codes for thread colors, ensuring an adequate number of reference thread-codes to fulfill future customer orders efficiently.
- Compose a detailed spreadsheet with all styles, color combinations, trims, buttons, zippers, and match colors for body, tonal, and coordinating tones codes.
- Distribute this spreadsheet to the Embroidery Services team to integrate into the embroidery software program.
4. Record Management:
- Manage records of ground images, textiles for each print color style/combo/print and create mock-ups for new logo projects.
- Send these images to the Embroidery Services office in MA.
5. Placement Specifications:
- Create special placement specifications for cresting facilities as necessary.
6. Preliminary Notations and Logo Positioning:
- Create and update preliminary notations for the adequate positioning of the company logo.
- Deliver these notations to the sales team for reference in new customer projects.
- Identify any discrepancies in logo positioning and coordinate the best positioning for future customer logos, including sizing and placement.
7. Quality Control:
- Implement rigorous quality control measures to maintain high standards of embroidery excellence.
- Inspect finished products for color consistency, clarity of detail, and overall aesthetic appeal.
- Address any issues or deviations promptly to uphold customer satisfaction.
8. Inventory Management:
- Maintain an inventory of the complete season line to work with each physical sample, ensuring the best accuracy in color combinations.
9. Thread List Development:
- Develop a comprehensive thread list with all colors used in the season.
- Send one list to the Embroidery Services for internal workload management and another for general records to be used in logo production services by the factories.
10. Communication and Collaboration:
- Absorb information closely from the Merchandising team, production staff, and clients to facilitate seamless communication and coordination throughout the embroidery process.
- Convey color-related requirements effectively and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project success.
Major Responsibilities
- Create and update Embroidery Notations document throughout the season as needed.
- Receive and maintain seasonal sample inventory.
- Create and send seasonal fabric images to the Embroidery Services group.
- Send product to Vantage for testing for thread color or fabrication as necessary.
- Create special placement specifications for the cresting facilities when necessary.
- Color each SKU and colorways in the line by designing the seasonal thread color palette and selecting the best thread colors to use on each garment for customer logos.
- Compose a spreadsheet of all the styles and colorways with all the trim, button, zipper, match, tonal, and coordinating thread colors for the Embroidery Product Specialist in Canton to key into the embroidery software program.
- Develop a seasonal thread list and send it to Embroidery production facilities to ensure they have every thread color we need on hand.
Required Skills/Knowledge

- Fashion design or merchandising experience is a plus.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience Needed
- Product development background or an eye for fashion is helpful.
- Preferably a degree in Fashion Design or Merchandising.
