GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Purchasing Specialist will manage the company's procurement activities. The responsibilities include sourcing new suppliers, ensuring that the purchased products and materials meet specific technical specifications, negotiating purchase terms, and evaluating supplier performance. The Purchasing Specialist will also be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries and resolving any supply issues or discrepancies
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Researching and identifying prospective suppliers.
2. Liaising with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations.
3. Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria.
4. Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchase terms and conditions.
5. Preparing and issuing purchase orders and agreements.
6. Maintains up-to-date administration for both paper and electronic documentation within purchasing department
7. Coordinates with accounting department to provide vendors with accurate documents for billing purposes
8. Works with Engineering team with bill of materials for both new and existing products.
9. Prepares BOM cost estimates for new projects.
10. Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and concerns.
11. Analyzing industry and demand trends and supporting senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.
12. Preparing reports and procurement records.
13. Complying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

1. Excellent working knowledge of purchasing strategies.
2. Skills in negotiating and relationship building
3. Problem-solving and analytical skills
4. Excellent communication, presentation and teamwork skills in order to communicate with customer and to team up with the hardware engineers as well as sales engineers.
5. Excellent computer skills including word processing, internet, databases and spreadsheets.
6. Ability to manage several assignments simultaneously.
7. Team player with organizational skills, and ability to work with distractions.
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar field preferred.
2. 3-5 years of experience as a Purchasing Specialist or in a similar role.
3. CPM or APICS certification preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
