PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
- The ability to position self to play with children on the floor
Experience/Qualifications:
1. Ability to relate well with team members, children and adults.
2. Ability to creatively design and implement curriculum.
3. At least 1 year of experience preferred

Responsibilities
● Collaborate with teaching team to provide relationship-focused care.
● Collaborate with teaching team to plan and document emergent curriculum that is accessible to all students
● Communicate in a respectful and effective manner with children, the teaching team, families, visitors and the Director
● Attend and contribute to team meetings
● Be able to lift, move, and hold children and objects up to 40 pounds. Be able to engage in full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, and otherwise fully participate in classroom activities.
● Be able to supervise and interact with children outdoors for extended periods of varied weather conditions.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
● EEC Teacher certification
● CDA, or higher education degree (any level) in ECE, Child Development, Elementary Ed., or Early Childhood Special Education (OR 30 college credits in these areas with an unrelated degree)
● Cultural Competency
● Knowledge of EEC regulations
● Organized
● Time management skills
● Creativity
● Experience and commitment to ongoing study of the Reggio Emilia approach
● Familiarity with anti-bias and antiracist approaches to early education
