Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Receptionist/Front Desk/Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate is courteous, personable, and professional. The role plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of healthcare facilities by providing both administrative and clinical support. They work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth delivery of patient care.
Duties:
-Serves patients by greeting them, answering routine questions, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.
-Uses practice management software (PMS), patient portal and appointment reminder systems, mobile applications, and other forms of technology to manage scheduling, interact with patients and providers, and update files and patients’ records.
-Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone and takes detailed messages as needed.
-Assists patients in filling out insurance forms and other patient records.
- Perform clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with procedures
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
- Provide patient education on various health topics, medications, and treatment plans.
- Adhere to established protocols and procedures to maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and vital signs monitoring
- Ability to provide medical administrative support efficiently
