SCORE, Southern California Orthopedic Rehab Equipment is looking for someone to perform the duties of the Medical Equipment Fitter & Technician.
The Medical Equipment Fitter & Technician is responsible for providing competent, efficient, and friendly delivery service, while educating customers on equipment and supplies delivered.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver exemplary customer service for patients, caretakers, and referral sources
- Communicate tactfully acting as a company representative with individuals
- Pull, pack, deliver, and pick-up customer orders while handling freight safely and efficiently
- Inspect all equipment pre-delivery and upon pick-up
- Set up and educate patients on safe and proper use of equipment
- Perform fitting and execute minor modifications as necessary
- Evaluate orthotic-device on patient, adjust to assure fit, function, medical efficiency and quality of work
- Identify and reconcile issues/problems to ensure patient satisfaction with device is provided
- Complete necessary paperwork including daily delivery logs, inspection forms and delivery documents; distribute paperwork to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
- Clean and sterilizes medical equipment, perform minor equipment repair and maintenance as required
- Maintain a compliant, efficient, clean and safe warehouse
- Respond to emergency delivery calls as needed during regular business hours and on an on-call basis
- Responsible for the safe operation and routine care of company vehicles
- Notify your supervisor if any one of the following is found a patient’s home; physical abuse of any family member; home environment is unsafe for the care ordered; unsanitary conditions or insufficient food for children; animals in the home that cause unsanitary conditions
- Adhere to all safety regulations; compliance with blood borne and occupational safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bi-Lingual, English and Spanish speaking a plus
- Clean driving record – must have a valid driver license
- Knowledge of local geographical delivery area
- Successful completion of SCORE Training Program
- Must uphold the principles of compliance outlined in the Code of Conduct, Employee Handbook, Company Vehicle Policy, and Policy and Procedure Manual

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- In an average 8 hour day the employee lifts/carries up to 30 lbs. frequently
- In an average 8 hour day the employee drives 6 hours
- The employee lifts/carries up to 50 lbs. maximum
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
