POSITION SUMMARY
Preparation of retail loan documents pertaining to new loan requests, refinances, extensions and modifications in an accurate and timely manner. Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task. Good communication skills are essential because the job requires loan documentation specialist to work closely with loan officers, attorneys and management to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the documents. Review loan documents post-closing for conformity to approval to ensure all approved conditions were met and loan documents were properly executed. Knowledge of banking procedures and lending principles is necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Prepare and process documentation using LaserPro software.
· Prepare and process documentation using Mortgage Bot LOS software.
· Prepare closing documentation on Mortgage Bot LOS using Doc Magic Documents
· Order property searches, flood certifications, title insurance and credit reports.
· Prepare commitment letters on land and investment property purchases
· Get FNBT listed as Mortgagee or Loss Payee on insurance policy prior to loan closing
· When applicable get current payoffs of loans and or credit cards to be paid with loan proceeds
· Collects, collates, assembles and completes the quality check of the loan closing packets for submission to the Lender.
· Confirm that appraisal and/or the collateral evaluations are completed according to policy and regulatory requirements.
· Review loan documentation closing package for the proper execution.
· Download loan from LaserPro to the Bank’s Jack Henry system and follow-up with a second review of loan input the following day.
· Download from Mortgage Bot LOS to Jack Henry system and follow up with second review of loan input the following day.
· Give collateral documents for recording to the Loan Operations Assistant for processing.
· Monitors incomplete files for missing documentation on an ongoing basis.
· Create a new documentation file.
· Effectively communicate with Loan originators to assure accuracy of documents.
· Review conditions requested by underwriting and make sure all items needed are requested from the borrower.
· Meet crucial and critical deadlines and dates.
· Update pipeline report at the end of the day.
· Keep Originators up to date on files.
· Cross train on other department positions.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: Six months to one year related experience
Computer Skills
Must be familiar with Jack Henry Platform System for loans. Microsoft Word, Excel, and loan documentation skill.
