Flex Technology Group is hiring a Events and Travel Manager in Mesa, AZ. This position is 100% in office.
Position Summary
The Events and Travel Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing corporate events and travel logistics, ensuring high-quality experiences for internal and external customers. This role involves coordinating nationwide events, managing internal programs, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with the Marketing Team. The manager also supports executive travel needs, handles sponsorships, and maintains event budgets, requiring effective relationship-building and strategic planning skills.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Manages the strategy and planning of activities and oversees cross functional staff responsible for coordinating and organizing meetings, special events, and trade shows (Ex. lunches, blood drives, holiday parties, family outings, ballgames, Executive Briefings and more).

Build strong relationships within the organization, understand and interpret strategic goals, and work with internal stakeholders to ensure priorities are clear and high-quality events and activities are delivered.

Negotiate venue agreements, contracts, vendor partnerships and budgets for FlexTG companywide.

Coordinate and manage company sponsorships, charity/community involvement and social and team activities.

Oversee travel itineraries, credit card authorizations, travel approval needs, price comparison, swag orders, goodie bags, name plates, name tags, RSVP’s, ROI, sponsor invoices, FTG branded shirts, etc.

Responsible for closing out event and travel expenses monthly, submitting to the appropriate people, completing event expense breakdown, reconciling Navan and maintaining budgets

Works closely with Marketing Team on invites, flyers, collateral, signage, agendas and all event/travel needs

Act as main point of coordination and contact to serve as concierge for the Executive team. May include, but is not limited to travel needs, selection and planning of dinners, off-site activities, entertainment, premiums/amenities, etc.

Oversee all nationwide company travel for flights, cars, hotels and trains, for all FlexTG companies.

Support Marketing Development Funds from manufacturers and partners for events, training, sales sponsorships.

Support all sales initiatives and projects and coordinate team members to contribute accordingly.

Travel as required to support events as an on-site contact and support resource.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience

3+ years managing people
-
3+ years corporate meetings management, destination management, and customer service experience

Demonstrate superior organizational and project management abilities

Demonstrate ability to think conceptually, using strong analytical skills

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills as well as experience at managing client expectations

Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Nationwide travel (Approx 20%, with approx. 15% being overnight national travel and 5% local travel).
Preferred Qualifications:

Travel agent licensing and knowledge

5-7 years of business experience
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has supervisory responsibilities for Events and Travel team members.
- Staffing decisions (Hiring, interviewing, disciplining).

Provides training, supervision, and evaluation of direct reports.

Process-Policy implementation, evaluation, and recommendations to management.
