The candidate selected for this role must live within the state of Georgia. This position will be performed in a telecommuting work environment within the state of Georgia. The employee's telecommuting work site location will contain a designated and approved work space at the employee's home address.
General Definition of Work
Performs intermediate skilled technical work ensuring accurate and timely completion of daily record keeping functions for the Association's deferred compensation 457(b) and defined contribution 401(a) programs, and related work as apparent or assigned.
Position Responsibilities

Processes daily 457(b) and 401(a) program payroll contributions to participant accounts via appropriate vendor software system.

Processes daily 457(b) and 401(a) participant-initiated distributions from their accounts, including hardships, terminations, transfers to other providers, retirement and death payments via appropriate vendor software system.

Downloads program participant contribution data files sent by member jurisdictions via Association website; reviews the files for accuracy and completeness.

Processes enrollment and beneficiary information for new program participants; updates information as requested by participant.

Verifies receipt of payroll deposits at trust agency.

Updates program participant contributions and distributions in appropriate databases and call center logs for accurate tracking.

Notifies member jurisdictions of delays in receipt of payroll contribution or deposit information.

Notifies member jurisdictions of participant salary deferral suspension due to hardship approval.

Produces periodic jurisdiction allocation reports by geographic region to be analyzed by appropriate Regional Client Manager.

Assists member jurisdiction payroll personnel by responding to questions concerning submission of program participant file and deposit information.

Generates personal identification number letters for newly enrolled participants, allowing them access to their retirement accounts through the member jurisdiction website.

Creates automated distribution file through vendor software system containing individual participant distribution information; exports files to trust account for check generation.

Operates a variety of standard office equipment.

Supports the overall organization by executing the directives as set forth by the Association.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree with coursework in business administration, accounting, or related field and
- moderate experience (typically 3-5 years) in accounting and/or retirement plan administration, or

equivalent combination of education and experience.
