This is an on-site position located at the Solar Light offices in Glenside, Pennsylvania reporting to the VP of Finance. The successful candidate will combine excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to oversee specific accounting and payroll functions. Essential Functions
· Daily Cash Management
· Prepare Weekly Cash Flow Forecasting
· Review of General Ledger activity in QuickBooks
· Prepare monthly internal and external financial reports
· Assist with preparation of the monthly financial review PowerPoint presentation
· Prepare quarterly financial reports
· Assist with yearly financial budget and monthly forecast updates
· Assist with year-end audit schedules and requests
· Assist with year-end physical inventory process
· Prepare FP&A reports using Microsoft Power BI tool
· Process bi-weekly payroll for both companies
· Review and process benefit vendor invoices for payment
· Monthly sales tax reconciliation
· Assist in Accounts Receivable collections
· Approval of vendor invoices
· Weekly payment of vendor invoices
The ideal candidate will have:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
· 4+ years of experience as an accountant for a small to mid-size manufacturing company
· In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
· Extensive experience with QuickBooks Desktop
· Experience running biweekly Payroll (experience with Paylocity preferred)
· Exceptional computer skills; strong working knowledge of Microsoft office applications
· Exceptional Excel skills; what if analysis, logical, lookup, and array functions, pivot tables, and data validation
· Extensive experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
· Strong analytical and data mining ability (experience with Microsoft Power BI preferred)
· Strong internal control mindset with ability to identify and remediate process inefficiencies
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, and ability to clearly articulate complex information
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment
· Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and be well organized; adjust plans to meet changing needs and requirements
· Accuracy and attention to detail
· Solid work ethic with a high level of energy, integrity and a positive attitude
· Adaptable to change and willingness to learn and manage new or evolving assignments
· Not afraid to ask questions and is persistent on follow-up
· Sales Tax experience with multi-state jurisdictions (experience with Avalara helpful)
