Forecasts, controls, and reports project costs needed within an organization. Develops and provides project variances, trending and analysis of expenditures, and completion reports. Reviews project costs incurred by category, calculates future costs based on labor productivity, material price increases, subcontract, wage rates and risk analysis. Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within project controls. Displays core competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills. Required Skills Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 2+ years of cost control experience Required Education Bachelor's degree in finance or a related business discipline Required Years of Experience 2-4 Desired Skills Experience working in a government contracting environment. Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) Cost Point, Cognos, OnBase, Deltek and WorkDay experience. Must be capable of working independently under pressure with minimal supervision. Familiar with often changing deadlines, inquiries and related pressures and able to handle multiple tasks. Must interact well with all levels of Project Management and colleagues in other functional areas/departments. Demonstrated strong work ethics, mathematical/analytical skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
