Compliance Administrative Assistant Overview
Under the direction of the Director of Compliance, this role will support the Compliance Manager and six
Compliance Specialists. You will confirm insurance coverage monthly for the Independent Contractors and
audit compliance statuses weekly. You will be responsible for auditing the two departmental applications
weekly to ensure both platforms have the same (correct) information. You will support the entire department
to ensure all independent contractors are onboarded timely and compliant. You will be responsible for
answering the compliance department phone line and transferring calls to the appropriate specialist.
Pay and Hours
This role is Part-Time in office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday approximately 24 hours a week at $18/hr.
Responsibilities
(include, but are not limited to)
- Monthly confirmation of insurance coverage for all Independent Contractors and audit of the
coverage for compliance issues
- Answers phone and transfers the calls to the appropriate compliance specialist for any resolution
needed.
- Onboarding support for both the independent contractor and compliance specialists.
- Audit compliance systems to ensure that the information is correct and matching in each platform.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers
- Interprets an extensive variety of instructions in written form
- Assist onboarding Independent Contractors with their insurance questions
Requirements
- High School Diploma and 3-5 years of overall work experience, prior administrative experience is
preferred.
- Previous compliance and auditing experience is preferred, preferably in the furniture or appliances
in a retail environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be a self-starter and does not require constant supervision.
- Ability to multi-task and provide thorough follow-up
- Ability to use Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work weekends and extended hours
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
