Job: Senior Water Purification System Service Technician
About Us
We are an Eastern Massachusetts based RO/DI water purification company with systems located across Massachusetts. We specialize in Reverse Osmosis/ DI water systems for many different applications. Our systems range from being able to produce high purity DI water from as small as 10 gallons an hour to as large as over 500 gallons per hour with clients ranging from large area hospitals to start-up labs.
About You
We are looking for a senior service technician capable of installing, maintaining, and repairing our water systems. The individual must have experience in the field with a preferred background in DI water; however, training is available.
Candidate Qualifications - Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate would have skills outlined below
- Electrical experience. Capable of wiring motors and pumps and diagnosing electrical issues with these components.
- Plumbing experience. Ability to work and install PVC and Polypropylene piping and associated valves.
- Controls experience is a plus. Ability to work with and wire industrial control panels. Includes wiring to equipment such as motors and pump. Ability to understand the contacts, terminals, and relays inside the panel for electrical diagnosing purposes and installation of equipment, as well as any PLC experience.
- Electrical, Plumbing, Controls, RO Systems, DI water experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the above areas, more would be a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform (Quarterly) preventative maintenance services on Reverse Osmosis and Deionized water purification systems including routinely change water filters, clean and sanitize water tanks, change UV bulbs, check for leaks and clear water lines.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair reverse osmosis systems and Deionized water purification equipment.
- Assist with installation of new projects.
- Order replacement and new parts for systems using company systems.
- Communicate with customers on-site as needed.
- Maintain company vehicle.
- Responsible for following company and customer safety policies and procedures.
- Technician will have strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Technician will be comfortable using with advanced tools and equipment.
- Perform service agreement tasks and other job-related duties as assigned.
- On call service – on a rolling schedule (currently one week per month).

Minimum Experience Requirements
- 3 years (required) working mechanical/electrical experience, working on a DI and/or reverse osmosis would be preferred.
- Ideal candidate will be a self-starter and be able to work independently.
- Critical thinking skills and diagnostic skills are essential for this role.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and control system issues.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed for the position including some emergency calls at night.
- Valid Driver’s license with clear driving history and ability to be insured.
- Ability to be CORI certified (background screening)
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and random drug screenings.
- Physical ability to handle repetitive lifting and maneuvering of reverse osmosis and deionized equipment and working with tools.
