ABOUT THE TEAM
We are a small, driven, and passionate team with deep experience in software engineering and data analytics. Our founder and CEO, Anthony Bruce, was the co-founder and CEO of Applied Predictive
Technologies, which was acquired by Mastercard in 2015. At our current scale, we highly value working together in person for rapid collaboration, brainstorming, and decision-making.
IF YOU’D BEEN WITH US THIS PAST MONTH, YOU’D HAVE…
- Created a test plan for an entirely new product feature and partnered closely with engineers to test it before rollout.
- Analyzed usage data and user feedback to identify the most frequent user pain points and partnered with the product managers to suggest product improvements.
- Analyzed error logs to identify, triage and document bugs and issues encountered by real users.
- Spoken with a user overseas to reproduce a particularly difficult edge case bug and then worked with the engineering team to test the proposed fix.
- Created automated tests for a particular part of the workflow where we had poor prior coverage.
ABOUT YOU
- You’re organized, meticulous, analytical, and a strong communicator.
- You’re a constant advocate for the quality of the software, working tirelessly to discover and document issues and bugs.
- You take a broad view of how you can contribute to the software testing process, from in-depth manual testing of new features and bugfixes through creating automated testing plans and beyond.
- You’re excited to work with us in-person in Arlington, VA.
- Experience with relevant domains (software testing, database querying, data analytics) is a plus but not required.
- You’re passionate about all aspects of software quality, from the ability to handle complex edge-cases to performance and usability.
