Sales Engineer
Position Overview
We're looking for a Sales Engineer to aid and assist our growing sales team. As a Sales Engineer, you will partner with our Sales team as a technical resource while engaging with prospective clients. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding potential customers' technical needs and translating how our platform offerings could be a fit. You will be proficient in the technical and detailed aspects of our platform and will advise on and design solutions for potential customers.
What you’ll do
The Sales Engineer will also play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our Product and Sales teams. By leveraging your deep understanding of the product features and capabilities, you will ensure that the Sales team is well-informed about the latest developments, functionalities, and value propositions of our platform. You will translate complex technical details into compelling, easy-to-understand insights that will empower the Sales team to effectively communicate these benefits to potential customers.
Moreover, you will collaborate closely with our Product team to relay feedback and insights from the field, ensuring that customer needs and market demands are reflected in our product roadmap. Your role will involve participating in product meetings, providing feedback on new features, and suggesting improvements based on your interactions with clients and the Sales team.
Your responsibilities will extend to working with our Customer team, especially on the enterprise side, to understand the complex needs of larger customers. By engaging directly with enterprise clients, you will gather detailed insights into how they leverage Hostaway to its fullest potential. You will work to ensure that their specific requirements are met, and that they are fully aware of how to utilize all aspects of our platform to achieve their business objectives.
Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in sales enablement by creating and delivering training materials, conducting workshops, and providing ongoing support to the Sales team to enhance their product knowledge and selling skills. This sales enablement component will ensure that our Sales team is always equipped with the necessary tools and information to effectively engage with potential clients and close deals.
As a liaison between our Sales, Product, and Customer teams, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our platform meets the highest standards of excellence and that our customers receive the best possible solutions tailored to their needs. Your expertise will help to foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, drive product adoption, and ultimately contribute to the growth and success of our company.
Key Responsibilities
Engage in discussions with customers and prospective clients to help them understand the more complex aspects of the Hostaway platform, and develop use cases that align their needs with our product capabilities
Have a deep knowledge of our competitors, their offering, and our unique competitive advantages
Work cross-functionally to document and develop trainings and material to aid the GTM teams in more successfully winning and retaining new business
Qualifications / Experience
2+ years' professional experience working in a pre-sales, sales, sales engineering, correlated consulting role within the SaaS software space. Experience in the short term rental industry is a plus
