Our 3 diamond, 68 room hotel is looking for a friendly, outgoing, and customer service-oriented individual to lead our team at the front desk. We are seeking an energetic, service oriented, positive and self-motivated Front Desk Manager to join our already stellar team. The Front Desk Manager will report to the Executive Manager and work closely with our Guest Service Representatives to guide them in all aspects of delivering top-notch service to our guests. Applicants should possess superb guest service skills and supervisory experience with a proven track record for success.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assigns duties to front desk staff and observes performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures.
- Provides training, including safety training, to front desk staff.
- Assists in the selection of front desk staff and complete necessary paperwork.
- Review GSA performance and provide constructive feedback
- Assist in conducting Front Desk staff meetings.
- Receives and resolves guest concerns and personnel issues.
- Covers shifts at Front Desk as necessary or as scheduled by senior management.
- Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 1-2 years hotel, resort and/or management experience is required
- Should have general knowledge of all aspects of hotel operations, including thorough knowledge of Front Desk Operations
- Strong Leadership skills and the ability to effectively select, motivate, develop and retain staff
- Ability to manage change effectively with clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
- Team building effectiveness with excellent organizational skills to include time management, ability to delegate, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office Programs
- Possess an aptitude to create a fun, rewarding and professional work environment
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Valid Driver’s License required
