Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, other surfaces, and trim.
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, stairways and other work areas.
- Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor.
- Washes walls, ceiling, windows, and woodwork.
- Empties trashcans, and empties and cleans ashtrays. Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Operates leaf blowing machinery and washes streets.
- Maintains inventory of supplies needed.
- Accurately record material transfers.
- Cuts and trims grass, and shovels snow.
- Operates small equipment, tools, carts and company vehicles.
- Transports small equipment or tools between jobs.
- Sets up tables and chairs in auditorium or hall

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places; extreme cold (non-weather); extreme heat (non-weather); risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit; talk or hear and taste or smell.
Required Skills:
Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Math Ability: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
