Duties:
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff members in a professional and courteous manner.
- Manage the front desk, including answering and directing phone calls, taking messages, and responding to inquiries.
- Coordinate patient scheduling and calendar management.
- Process patient payments and handle billing and insurance claims.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Provide administrative support, including order entry and data entry.
- Utilize computer literacy to manage patient records and perform other administrative tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the phone system and other office equipment.
- Manage the front desk supplies and inventory.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient communication and task completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in a medical receptionist or front desk role.
- Proven customer service skills.
- Strong administrative skills, including calendar management and order entry.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
